White Sands National Monument
Just Located 15 miles southwest of Alamogordo it is considered one of Alamogordo's most awe inspiring attractions. The 275 square miles of gypsum sand dunes never fail to amaze visitors, both new and returning. Picnicking, camping, hiking, and ranger guided activities can all be found here, as well as a late closure time on full moon nights. |

International Space Hall of Fame & Omnimax theatre
The International Space Hall of Fame overlooks Alamogordo and the Tularosa Basin offering a wonderful glimpse of the history of space exploration. The facilities include the IMAX Dome Theater, the Planetarium, the Astronaut Memorial Garden, the Air and Space Park. |

Alameda Park Zoo
Just located 0.5 miles from the motel, Alameda Park Zoo is found in the heart of Alamogordo and it's establishment in 1898 makes it the oldest zoo in the Southwest. Recent construction of new facilities makes the zoo one of the more enjoyable stops in the area. |

Toy Train Depot & Museum
It is located at the north end of Alameda Park and boasts 1200 feet of model railroad track in it's 100 year old depot. Enjoy a ride on the miniature train as it makes a circuit of Alameda Park on 2.5 miles of track. Kids Kingdom A relatively new attraction to Alamogordo, Kids Kingdom is a terrific place for children to expend some energy. Constructed entirely by community efforts, it is the gem of Alamogordo's City parks. |
